Cape Cod Pediatrics sign

Effective April 1st, 2023, Cape Cod Pediatrics will no longer be able to accept the Steward HealthChoice plan through MassHealth. The new plan that we will accept is WellSense Community Alliance, which is through the BMC (Boston Medical Center) system. This change will be done automatically, there is nothing you need to do.

On February 9th, 2023, Cape Cod Healthcare began sending out initial communication regarding the upcoming change, which includes the contact information for any questions you may have. If you do not receive this communication in a timely manner, below is the list of contact information for questions related to WellSense Community Alliance.

Important dates to remember:

Part 1:

From now until March 31st, 2023, you can learn about other MassHealth plans. Again, if you are planning on staying with CCP and the WellSense plan, there is nothing further you need to do.

Plan selection period is April 1st-June 30th, 2023. This is the time frame when you can change plans. If a plan other then WellSense is selected, Cape Cod Pediatrics will no longer be able to provide care for your child(ren).

July1, 2023 forward. At this point, plans can only be changed for certain reasons. For more information regarding that, visit https://www.mass.gov/service-details/fixed-enrollment-period or call MassHealth Customer Service at 800-841-2900.

Part 2:

In April, MassHealth will send renewal letters. If there are no  issues, your MassHealth will be renewed and you will be notified.

If there are issues, you will receive a renewal letter in a blue  envelope, asking for information. You need to respond with the requested information by the date in the letter to ensure continual coverage.

***PLEASE REMEMBER EVEN THOUGH YOU ARE BEING ENROLLED IN WELLSENSE EFFECTIVE 03/01/2023, THE ANNIVERSARY DATE OF YOUR RE-ENROLLMENT WILL NOT CHANGE. FOR EXAMPLE, IF YOU NORMALLY RE-ENROLL ON JULY 1st, YOU WILL STILL NEED TO DO THAT THIS YEAR ON JULY 1st. ***
