Genesight Information

Genesight is a genetic test that our office offers that uses your genetic information to provide medication options for your provider. It is a simple cheek swab that is done in the office and then sent out for the results.

The test may reveal which medications may be less likely to work; may need dose adjustments; or have an increased risk of side effects based on your DNA. The results come in a report that classifies over 60 mental health medications into 4 categories.

Once we get the results, a notification will be sent to you that the results are ready. Once you get the notification, please call the office and we will schedule an extended visit with your provider to go over them.

There is a consent form that you would need to sign prior to doing the test. If you would like to look over the consent form and sign it prior to your appointment, you can click the link below.

The cost of the test will be billed to your insurance company, and depending on your insurance, you may be expected to pay a portion of the cost. Typically, patients will pay $330 or less.
